Use this KS2 grammar game to help children explore different ways of starting sentences. There are two sets of cards - blue and yellow. The blue cards contains examples of adverbs, conjunctions, onomatopoeia, prepositions, questions, similes and verbs that can be used to start a sentence. The yellow cards contains clauses which can be added to the blue sentence starters. Not all yellow and blue pairs match. Children can experiment with matching the cards, or coming up with their own sentence starters or endings.
